The "easy way out" is usually the most harmful to your organizations online presence. Having an opt-in subscriber list is a responsibility. Your subscribers have trusted you enough to give you their first name and their email address. It is not a matter of sending them promotional materials each time you contact them. Your opt-in subscribers are expecting value from you in the form of information. There are lots of ways to get people to subscribe to your list, but if you are not offering them enough value, they will not stay subscribed.
